Audrey Rutter is a Registered Social Worker located in Burlington, Ontario. Audrey offers in-person counselling, video counselling and phone counselling to youth (16 years old +), adults, and families.
Audrey works with adults struggling to manage their emotional experience alongside a disordered relationship with food, body image, self-esteem, and identity. She brings a trauma-informed perspective to her practice valuing transparency, consent, and collaboration counselling. Her approach is client-centred, focusing on your desired outcomes and strengths.
Her office is a non-judgmental space for clients, offering a gender and identity-affirming practice for individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community. Audrey is passionate and dedicated to supporting you, believing in an individualized and integrative treatment approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion focused Therapy (EFT), Polyvagal Theory, and Mindfulness to reconnect with your body.
While encouraging the practice of self-compassion in your healing journey, Audrey herself practices journaling and work-life balance. She prioritizes a healthy relationship and mindset with food and her body. She loves being in nature, walking, biking, stretching, and watching reality tv with her friends or kitties (also named after food).
