If you’ve ever felt at war with yourself, overwhelmed by emotions, or stuck in patterns that don’t serve you, it’s okay to want something different. Whether you’re struggling with low self-worth, anxiety, or the exhausting cycle of binge eating and chronic dieting, Audrey is here to help you find your way back to yourself.
Audrey Rutter is a Registered Social Worker based in Burlington, Ontario, offering in-person and virtual therapy for youth (16+), adults, and families. She specializes in supporting individuals experiencing body image concerns, identity struggles, emotional overwhelm, and disordered eating patterns such as binge eating and chronic dieting. Many of her clients arrive in therapy feeling shame, confusion, or frustration, tired of trying to “fix” themselves without real change. Audrey creates a compassionate space where healing is not about fixing, but about reconnecting with your body, your values, and your sense of self.
Her approach is trauma-informed, affirming, and deeply collaborative. Audrey believes in walking alongside you, not leading the way, but joining you in curiosity, care, and compassion as you explore what healing looks like for you. She offers a gender-affirming and identity-affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients, where your full self is always welcome.
Drawing from CBT, EFT, ACT, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic-based practices, Audrey integrates evidence-based tools with an intuitive understanding of the emotional weight many clients carry. She helps clients navigate everything from persistent low mood and anxiety to trauma, ADHD, identity development, and struggles with food and self-image. With Audrey, therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process—it’s a flexible, empowering journey grounded in your unique experiences and goals.
Audrey also brings authenticity into every session. As someone who values balance and self-compassion in her own life, she knows the healing journey is not linear, and that grace, humour, and gentleness matter just as much as insight. Her clients appreciate her transparency, her calming presence, and the space she holds for them to explore life’s hardest questions without fear of judgment.
If you’re ready to move from self-criticism to self-understanding, Audrey is here to support you every step of the way.
